A red wine with a fresh aroma harmonized by woody tones.
Il Fonditore is named after one of the three Foundries of Valpiana and spreads its image thanks to the artwork on the label by the painter Dino Petri.
It is made from a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, with small percentages of Malvasia Nera and Colorino. After a traditional fermentation in concrete tanks, this wine matures in French oak tonneaux for at least twelve months, then is refined in the bottle. On the nose it is rich, intense, and complex, with scents of wild red fruits and notes of Mediterranean scrub. The taste confirms the sensation of richness and complexity, all supported by an elegant tannic structure, with sweet and balsamic sensations.
If aged in the bottle for a few years, it can only gain further complexity.
